Anxiety

Acupuncture and Chinese herbs helping with mild to moderate cases of anxiety may through regulating body's autonomic nervous system (ANS). People often experience a strong relaxing effect after treatment which causing changes for up to three days afterwards. Acupuncture can be used on its own or in combination with Western medication, exercise, counselling and herbal medicines.

Depression

There is high-level evidence to support the use of acupuncture for treating major depressive disorder in pregnancy. They can also be safely combined with conventional treatments such as Counselling and pharmaceutical drugs. Our acupuncturists may also suggest customized dietary and lifestyle changes if necessary to speed progress.

Mood Swings

Mood swings can be part of the syndrome from menopause, PMS or chronic stress. The rapidly changing mood swinging back and forth between emotions for apparently no reason is a sign of certain energy unbalance. At Chenzen centre, we noticed that acupuncture along with herbs helping people to relax and experience fewer and less intense mood swings.

Chronic Stress

The signs of stress can vary from one individual to the next. They may manifest physically as an illness, tiredness or lethargy, or as symptoms such as sore and tight muscles, dull skin or erratic sleep patterns. Mental stress can result in depression, mood swings, anger, frustration, paranoid behaviour or withdrawal. Scientists believe that acupuncture does reduce stress level.

Eating Disorders

Chenzen Centre treating patients with most eating disorders (binge-eating, anorexia and bulimia) in an integrated way. It is not intended as a replacement for psychiatric and medical care but as a gentle adjunct to their exist treatment using the ancient wisdom of acupuncture and Chinese herbs to address both the underlying causes of dysfunctional eating and the physical symptoms.
